Sawmill Restaurant Group founded in November of 1976, and over the years the Sawmill has grown to multiple locations across Alberta including the latest location in Lloydminster Alberta.
Every year The Sawmill group participate in the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology’s “FEASTival of Fine Chefs”. As a fundraiser for their Chef’s Apprenticeship Program, participating dining establishments are given a “mystery food hamper” 24 hours in advance. With only these items (different for each participant) the objective is to create a four-course gourmet meal for approximately 60 guests. The Sawmill is always among the best in taste and presentation.
Affiliations & Memberships
The Sawmill Restaurant Group maintains membership in a number of industry related organizations, including Edmonton Tourism, Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, Alberta Restaurant & Food Association, Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs, Canadian Food & Restaurant Association and Alberta Tourism Education Council. We strongly support culinary and apprenticeship programs in the province and are members of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) Program Advisor Committee. We encourage management from our stores to work with the business associations in their respective neighbourhoods.
